I’m sorry that I can’t come to the funeral as Joyce was a good friend of my mum, Jennifer Barton. My sister, Vicki, and I have fond memories of Joyce. She was kind and thoughtful, taking an interest in us and always sending us a Christmas card. She and Mum were school friends who always stayed in touch and who never ran out of conversation ( as evidenced by the tale of the time they got locked in a carpark and had to be rescued as they had spent too long talking in the car after a school reunion!). We both send our best wishes to Malcolm, Mark, Richard and David and their families xx

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
